Investments in private placements are sometimes referred to as "Pre-IPO" investments if the company is planning on going public. Investing in private placements is riskier than buying shares of a publicly traded company because there is no public market where investors can sell their shares. In addition, these companies are typically in their early stages of development. Therefore, there may be a greater risk of not succeeding.

However, when these companies successfully go public or are acquired, investors achieve returns on investments that, often, produce 10 to 20 times the money invested.

For companies that plan to "go public," the pre-IPO private placement becomes a vehicle where investors can get involved.

Hoffman Row currently has three "Pre-IPO investments" available (we refer to these special selections as "Keystone Companies"). While risky, these types of investments are one of the hardest to find, and,can be the most rewarding to the private investor!

Our Keystone Companies must meet our stringent criteria:

		Significant market potential, preferably without significant competition
		Unique, proprietary ("protectable") advantage over potential competitors
		Ability to obtain financing required to achieve dominant market position
		Exit strategy that will provide investors with extraordinary return

We don't follow fads. We don't want to be investing in one of 25+ companies, all of whom plan to dominate the same market, each with "a 50% share."

Instead, we seek Special Situations with extraordinary long-term values because we plan to remain a part of our clients' companies even after an IPO.
